     Infectious or communicable diseases mostly acquired by vulnerable person can be prevented before the its onset.  Infections are disease-causing organisms or agents that can enter the host's system and causes signs and symptoms of infection. Prevention and control of infection are the ultimate keys to eradicate the continuous transmission of diseases from one host to another. This section provides the information on how to control and prevent the transmission of diseases by understanding the chain of infection and modes of transmission.

     There are many ways on how to control infection such as environmental sanitation, waste management, handwashing, choosing the right foods, proper hygiene etc. But understanding how infection grows, multiply and harbors must be understood first before modifying ones practices to help deal on infection control effectively.
